Andre Previn knew Munrow, and his Early Music Consort of London. He was much impressed. Indeed, Previn wrote a short introduction to the book by Munrow entitled Instruments of the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Furthermore, he also appeared with Bernard Levine the noted journalist on the Memorial programme when he died in May 1976. Both Previn, and Levine appeared to my mind "shaken" somewhat by Munrow's suicide as he was such a popular figure in the music world in general. So, there you have the connection...
